Last night, my daughter and her family experienced a devastating fire when their furnace caught on fire. Thankfully, everyone—including their three children and their dog—made it out safely. However, they now face the challenge of rebuilding without any insurance coverage. Right now, they are staying with me as they figure out their next steps. My daughter works as an inclusion helper at a local high school, and their family does everything they can to provide a loving, happy home for their kids, even on a limited income.

The fire not only destroyed their furnace, but also forced firefighters to open a hole in their roof to put out the flames. This has left their home unlivable until both the furnace and roof can be repaired. The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a new furnace and fixing the roof, so they can return home and restore a safe, warm environment for their children and their dog.
