My daughter and her family were moving from California to Indiana to be closer to her son, bringing along their two children and two dogs. Their journey has been filled with challenges, from vehicle breakdowns to unexpected setbacks. The most devastating moment came in Arizona, when their SUV caught fire while towing a trailer. In an instant, they lost all of their household belongings and everything they had packed for their new life. Thankfully, my daughter is okay after being treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation, but the loss has been overwhelming for all of them.
As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to see your child go through something like this, especially when you’re far away and unable to help in person. My wife and I live in Texas, and I have Parkinson’s disease, which makes it impossible for me to travel. We’ve sent what we could, but we’re on a fixed income and can only do so much. Right now, my daughter and her family need a safe place to stay tonight and help getting the rest of the way to Indiana, where her son is coming to pick them up. They also need support to replace essentials and start rebuilding after losing everything in the fire.
If anybody could help, I would really appreciate it. I’m not the type to ask for help, but I don’t know what else to do at this point. Your support would mean the world to our family as they try to recover from this tragedy and start over in Indiana. Here is a picture of what was left of other.S u v and your trailer
