Hi everyone. I’m a single mother of five doing everything I can to raise my kids and give them a better future. Their father has been absent from their lives due to incarceration, so for many years it has been just me trying to carry the responsibilities of both parents. Like many families, we work hard every day, but with five children things can get very tight financially.

Recently, my daughter has been given the opportunity to go on a trip to visit several HBCU colleges. Growing up hasn’t always been easy for her, but she continues to push herself in school and stay focused on building a better path for her future. Being able to walk those campuses, learn the history, and see students who look like her succeeding would mean so much and could truly inspire her.

I don’t want finances to be the reason she misses out on something that could motivate her and help shape her future. Any donation, big or small, would go directly toward the cost of the trip.
