Hello, my name is Justina, and I am reaching out on behalf of my daughter, Kiya, who is a dedicated student-athlete at Howard University. She has been working hard to pursue her education and future goals, but recently she was blindsided by a financial setback outside of her control.

Howard University recently switched to a new financial platform, which unfortunately caused unexpected and significant past-due tuition balances for many students. My daughter was directly impacted by this system change and now has an outstanding balance that is preventing her from registering for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year.

This has been extremely stressful for her and for our family. We've tried every possible option to resolve the issue, but at this point, we are turning to our community for help as a last resort.

How you can help?

We are asking for help to pay the past-due tuition balance so that my daughter can continue her studies at Howard without interruption. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward her tuition balance to ensure she can remain enrolled and stay on track with her education!

This has been a challenging journey, but we believe in the power of community and generosity.
