My 17-year-old daughter’s life changed forever after a devastating car accident. The night of the accident, she was rushed to the University of Chicago, where she underwent multiple emergency surgeries, including skin grafts. The trauma has left her with severe injuries, and our family is now facing a long and challenging road to recovery.
She is struggling with constant pain and has lost all movement in her hand, wrist, and fingers. Doctors have said her arm and hand will never be the same, but with the best possible treatment and therapy, there is hope for improvement. The ongoing medical bills, therapy sessions, and specialized care are overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to ensure my daughter gets the support she needs to heal and regain as much independence as possible.
I have also missed work while staying with her at the University of Chicago for almost a month, which has made it even harder to keep up with our regular bills and everyday expenses. This accident has deeply affected our entire family. Her brother, who was driving, is also struggling and feeling very guilty. We are facing tremendous emotional and financial challenges as we support both of our children through this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help provide the care and resources my daughter needs on her journey to recovery. I am deeply grateful for your kindness, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
