Our family was recently hit by the tornado in Beggs, OK, and it has turned our lives upside down. The storm completely destroyed my 32x48 metal building, and with it, the RV that my daughter stayed in when she was at my place. She is an autistic adult, and having her own space in that RV was the one thing that truly helped her feel like an adult. Her mom and I share time caring for her, and the RV was her safe haven—a place where she could practice living skills and enjoy a sense of independence. Now, her RV and all her personal belongings are gone, and because it was stored inside the metal building, there was no insurance to cover the loss.
My own tiny home somehow survived, but my daughter’s space was completely destroyed. She is heartbroken, and it’s been difficult to watch her lose the one place that made her feel truly at home.
We are hoping to raise enough to replace her RV or provide a tiny home, so she can regain her independence and rebuild her life. Any support you can offer would mean the world to us as we try to help her recover from this devastating event. Thank you for reading and for considering helping our family.
