Help my daughter Jasmine, fight against cancer

Hello, my name is Doreen and on behalf of my God fearing, music loving, sunshine in your day, fun, caring, force-to-be-reckoned-with daughter – Jasmine Carreon-Alirez - We have set out to raise funds in support of Jasmine’s fight against cancer. Jasmine's cancer diagnosis is a rare Stage 2 ovarian and Stage 3 thyroid, especially for her young age of 29.

Anything you are willing to donate to support Jasmine at this time and to help us meet our goal would be greatly appreciated. Please keep Jasmine and her family in your prayers as she battles this illness!

Jasmine’s Journey

Jasmine first went to the Emergency Room in Las Cruces on October 11th, 2022, for severe pelvic pain, back pain, and vomiting. After being told she had a 16.5 cm cyst she was sent home by the ER physicians telling her to contact her gynecologist. After a night of excruciating pain, she was scheduled for emergency surgery by her gynecologist the next day October 12th, 2022.

Scans found a mass in her abdomen and nodules in her throat. In November 2022, Jasmine was diagnosed with cancer, specifically a rare type of ovarian and thyroid. Jasmine has lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico all her life raising her only daughter Skye. Due to the circumstances, Jasmine has had to take a leave of absence from work for the time being.

Jasmine has had several outpatient procedures and will be having surgery on March 16th, 2023 and will be hospitalized in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

On March 16th, Jasmine had a Throidsectomy which should have only been a 5 hr surgery but ended up being 8hrs due to the surgeon finding a malignant mass in the back of her throat the mass was removed successfully. During this surgery the surgeon did have to remove the hyoid bone to reach the mass.

"Alive and well. All honor and Glory to the Almighty Jesus Christ. This was the hardest surgery I have had to go through but I will only get stronger from here. The devil is a liar, he tried to break me, he tried to kill me but the fire inside of me has been ignited and can not be put out. Thank you Jesus for healing."

Jasmine’s treatment plan immediately after surgery has her set to undergo 6 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy and radiation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jasmine will also begin physical therapy to maintain her strength throughout her treatment - she is ready to fight the fight!
