My daughter is facing an incredibly challenging medical situation. Her immune system is attacking her brain, she’s going through an autoimmune encephalitis disease it is an inflammation inside her body and brain causing her seizures, hallucinations, memory loss, confusion, phsycosis, dementia, it is also affecting her speech and understanding, loss of coordination and affecting all of her emotions and without treatment it can even cause death. It’s been heartbreaking to watch our daughter struggle with symptoms that she doesn’t understand. As a parent, it’s so hard to see your child go through something so confusing and frightening, and I am doing everything I can to make sure she gets the care and treatment she needs.

She is being transferred to Children's Hospital in Madera, CA, where she will receive specialized treatment. She is now having a treatment of steroids, plasmaphreses and plasma exchange. The costs of her medical care, along with the travel expenses, food and transportation to get to Madera, are adding up quickly My car also needs tire repair to make the trip safely, and these funds will help us be there for our daughter in every step of the way, supporting her through her treatment and recovery. After her plasma exchange she will be needing rehabilitation for a couple months which includes speech therapy, walking therapy, hand movement therapy and neuropshycology therapy.
