My daughter is a special needs child—she is a spastic quadriplegic, non-hearing, and nonverbal. Over the years, she has faced many challenges, and as her mom, I have always tried to make sure she has everything she needs to be safe and comfortable. Recently, it has become much harder to get her out of the house. She has outgrown her current stroller, and her wheelchair is too large and heavy for me to lift, especially as I am struggling with severe back problems and my own medical issues. Because of this, we have been stuck at home, unable to go to the store or enjoy simple outings together.
The specific stroller I am hoping to get for her is designed for children with complex needs. It offers the head, leg, and trunk support she desperately needs, especially after her major hip surgery and since she got a new spine. The stroller is lightweight, so I can manage it on my own, and it will fit in my car—something her wheelchair cannot do. Having this stroller would mean the world to us. It would give us the freedom to leave the house safely and comfortably, and it would make daily life so much easier for both of us.
I'm asking for help to raise money to buy my daughter this special stroller. Any support you can give would be deeply appreciated and would truly be a blessing for my daughter and me. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering helping us on this journey.
