Hello, my name is Cristina, and I’m reaching out for help in a desperate moment for my baby girl Emma.
My daughter is losing her hearing due to repeated ear infections caused by a rare, antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Despite countless treatments, the infections persist—and now, she's already lost part of her hearing.
Doctors have proposed an experimental but promising solution: to take a sample from the ear discharge and develop a personalised vaccine that could help her immune system fight this specific bacteria. This treatment, however, is not covered by public healthcare and requires funding for lab work, medical expertise, and close follow-up.
In addition, she urgently needs ear drainage and surgery to try to stop the damage and possibly restore some of her hearing. Every day counts.
We have already spent £1,180 on tests, treatments, and consultations, and we still don’t know the full cost of what’s ahead. The personalised vaccine, surgery, and long-term care could require much more.
We are setting an initial goal of £15,000 to cover:
The creation and testing of the personalised vaccine
Hospital and surgical costs
Hearing assessments and follow-up treatments
Travel and medical expenses related to the procedures
No amount is too small—every donation helps us get closer to giving her the chance to hear again and live free from constant pain and infections.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us.
From the bottom of my heart,
Cristina
