I’m reaching out as a mom hoping to make a dream come true for my 16-year-old daughter, Mia. She’s been given an incredible opportunity to travel to Tokyo, Japan March, 2026 with her school — a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with culture, learning, and growth.

This trip means more than just sightseeing. When my daughter was 12, she lost her dad — and life hasn’t quite been the same since. The spark she once had dimmed a little after his passing. She’s a quiet, thoughtful girl who rarely wants to go anywhere or even step outside to enjoy the sun (I tease her about that all the time!). But when she learned about this trip, something changed. For the first time in a long time, I saw real excitement in her eyes — genuine joy and curiosity about the world again.

I truly believe this trip could open her heart and mind in ways she needs. She deserves to see the beauty of another culture, meet new people, and create memories that remind her how big and full of wonder life can be.

The total cost of the trip is $6,500 USD, which covers airfare, lodging, meals, and educational activities. As a mom and full time student myself, I’m doing everything I can to make this happen, but I need a little help to get her there.
