My daughter, Emmy, has been given an incredible opportunity — she has been invited to attend a hockey prep school in Canada for the 2026–2027 school year. For a kid who has poured her heart into hockey since she was 4 years old - this is truly a dream come true.

Anyone who knows Emmy knows how much she loves the game. Early mornings, long practices, long drives, and countless hours on the ice have all been part of her journey. Hockey has helped shape her into the hardworking, determined young woman she is today.

Emmy has always been someone who pushes herself to get better and keep working until she figures something out. Hockey has given her confidence, discipline, and a place where she truly thrives.

This opportunity will allow her to train and compete at a high level while also receiving a strong education. She will work toward earning her Dogwood diploma while gaining exposure that can open doors for college hockey opportunities. She will also attend a week-long college showcase in Florida, where college scouts will be present — an incredible step toward continuing her hockey career.

For girls hockey, these prep school programs are one of the main pathways for college recruitment. The training, competition level, and exposure to scouts make a huge difference for athletes hoping to continue playing at the next level.

But opportunities like this come with a big financial commitment. Tuition, room and board, team fees, travel, equipment, and insurance add up quickly.

We are actively applying for scholarships, grants, and work programs through the school to help offset the cost, but there is still a gap we are working hard to close.

Emmy has worked incredibly hard for this opportunity, and we want to give her every chance to pursue the dream she’s earned.
