Right now, my father is facing one of the hardest battles of his life. He needs a triple bypass surgery and the removal of all his teeth to protect his heart from infection. He’s disabled and doesn’t have health insurance, which means every part of this process, from the surgery to getting dentures and recovery, will be out of pocket.

My dad means the world to our family. He’s not just a father, he’s a grandfather, a best friend, and the kind of person who’d give you the shirt off his back even when he doesn’t have much himself. He’s my baby niece's best friend; they do everything together — from watching cartoons to feeding the fish. She lights up every time she sees him, and the bond they have is something special that you can’t replace.

It’s been tough watching someone who’s always been so strong and full of life struggle like this. My goal with this GoFundMe is to take some of the financial stress off him so he can focus on healing and on being the amazing dad and grandpa he’s always been.
