My dad is a type 2 diabetic who recently suffered a serious injury to his foot. The wound became infected and the infection spread quickly up his leg. Despite the doctors' best efforts, they had to amputate part of his leg to save his life and preserve as much of his leg as possible. This has been a life-changing event for him and our family, and we are doing everything we can to support his recovery.
