Medical expenses - heart valve surgery in Toronto

A few months ago my father started to feel generally unwell. He became unable to attend work . Seeking immediate medical attention he was unfortunately misdiagnosed which exacerbated his condition. Presently he has been in hospital for several weeks undergoing extensive testing which has deemed he requires heart surgery in Toronto. The latter is scheduled for November 20th. This is financially difficult at this time as my father was a private contractor which has resulted in denial of employment insurance or even welfare benefits. Disability is a lengthy process prior to receiving any monetary benefits causing him significant financial concerns at this time. I am respectfully requesting assistance for travel expenses and additional costs we may incur during this extremely difficult period.
