Hi, my name is Mariah, and my family is facing one of the hardest battles of our lives.

A few weeks ago, my dad — Steve — was diagnosed with oral cancer that has already spread to his lymph nodes, skeletal muscle, and possibly prostate and stomach. Hearing those words from the doctor felt like the floor dropped out from under us. Since then, every day has been filled with scans, appointments, and painful treatments, but also… trying to keep his spirits up while hiding our own fears.

My dad is the strongest man I know. He’s the one who fixes everything, shows up for everyone, and still manages to make us laugh even when things are falling apart. He’s always been the person putting us first, and now, for the first time, he’s the one who needs help.

His upcoming outpatient surgery is critical, but insurance won’t cover it. On top of that, the costs of treatments, medications, and everyday living have piled up so fast that we simply can’t keep up. My family is stressed, we’re all stretched thin, and my dad is doing everything he can to keep fighting despite the pain.

We’re asking for help to raise $100,000 to cover:

• Medications and pain management

• Doctor visits and follow-up care

• Basic living costs while he focuses on healing
