My father has always been a man who never asked anyone for anything, even when he needed help. He’s 68 years old, and it’s far too soon for him to be facing these challenges. He’s been diagnosed with MAC disease in his right lung and COPD, and lately he’s been struggling with memory issues and seizure-like episodes that make it hard for him to talk or control what’s happening. Watching him go through this has been incredibly hard for our family.

He’s always loved hunting and fishing, and his greatest joy is spending time outdoors with his kids and grandkids. Our hope is to get him healthy and strong enough to enjoy those moments again. Right now, he’s on disability, and we’re trying to raise money for medical expenses, to remodel the bathroom for accessibility, and to add handicap accessories so he can get in and out of the house safely. We’re also hoping to afford a rehabilitation center to help him get back on his feet and regain his independence.
