Hey everybody, many of you who know my dad, have known him to always be the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need or that one person that always makes everyone feel like his friend. For me he has always been my hero, and so much more. I’ve only ever known him to work hard his whole life to provide for his family, and despite growing up without a dad, to be the best dad I could ask for. I watch him at 72 years old still operate the same, no matter what challenges he faces. For the better part of 30 years he has been relying on his dump truck as his main source of income. Recently, he faced two major setbacks at once: his dump truck was totaled in an accident, and he needed a full shoulder repair surgery due to a fall. These events have left him unable to work, and the timing couldn’t be worse, as winter is predominantly the slowest season for his industry. Without his truck and while recovering from surgery, my dad is now struggling to keep up with bills and is at risk of losing his house that he built and that my brothers and I were raised in. He’s always been independent and generous, but right now, he needs a little help from the community he’s been a part of for so many years. The funds raised will go directly toward helping him cover essential expenses and avoid losing his home while he recovers and transitions into a plan that hopefully will lead into retirement. I’ve organized this GoFundMe without his knowledge, but I know he would be deeply grateful for any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page. Thank you for taking the time to read his story and for any help you can offer during this difficult time.
