Funeral needs for my dad

On Saturday, October 14th, my world was turned upside down when my dad suffered a massive heart attack. It was an unexpected and terrifying moment that left our family in shock. He was at home with his 15-year-old son when it happened, and the trauma of that day is something we will never forget. Thankfully, his quick thinking and a swift call for an ambulance saved my dad's life.

Since that fateful weekend, my dad's journey has been one of downs and slight ups, filled with numerous additional life-threatening health scares. It's been a rollercoaster ride of emotions and medical challenges that we never saw coming. Unfortunately, I find myself in a position I never thought I'd be in – asking for help. Financially, we were not prepared for this crisis.

As his daughter, I've had to step in as the primary guardian for my younger brother, who's still in school. I work as a freelancer, and this unexpected situation has forced me to turn down multiple jobs, making it even harder to make ends meet. Balancing living expenses for two homes, including taking care of our pets, has become an overwhelming burden.

While my dad does have health insurance through his job, I'm unsure of the extent of its coverage. What I do know is that my dad won't be coming home anytime soon. He'll require extensive care, including rehabilitation, in the days ahead. The uncertainty of what his life will look like after this ordeal is daunting.

My goal is simple: I want to ensure that my dad has the best possible chance at a full recovery and a life of ease moving forward. I don't want him to worry about mounting bills, putting food on the table, or covering medical expenses. I want him to focus on healing and regaining his strength.
