My father recently faced a sudden and life-changing medical emergency. On Sunday, February 8th, 2026, he arrived at the hospital in unbearable pain and was quickly diagnosed with diverticulitis. We had no idea how severe his case was until the doctors told us he needed emergency surgery. After the operation, we learned that he had a severe infection caused by fluid leaking from a hole in his colon. The surrounding tissues were badly infected, and pus had started to grow, making the situation even more critical.

The surgeons had to remove a large part of his colon and set up a temporary colostomy. He will need to wear a colostomy bag for about three months before he can undergo another surgery to reverse the ostomy. While we are grateful for the healthcare assistance we have, there are still significant medical bills from his recent surgery and the upcoming reversal. This unexpected setback has been incredibly difficult for our family, both emotionally and financially.
