Help my dad rebuild and be ok for now

My dad Morrison Lathrop just had Hurricane Ida destroy his house. The hurricane hit his hometown of Golden Meadow with 150 mph winds. (Like as If a tornado hit it all at once) most of the roof was off and a few large oak trees caused damage to it. He was able to tarp it and remove some tree parts (which worried me that he was going to seriously hurt himself ) but sounds to me like it won’t be liveable. I’m hoping to have him come to ny soon to be away from the bayou. JuSt today he stood in a line from 2am - still in line just to get gas. So I would prefer if he could be more comfortable instead of dealing with it there. Thank you. He will spend the funds on having some spending money and rebuilding. He doesn’t have much money to start but his social security hw gets and some odd job $ here and there.
