UPDATE: Hi everyone, I wanted to share some difficult news about my dad and ask for your prayers and support during this tough time. Recently, my dad experienced a tragic event that resulted in the loss of his home. During the incident, he was exposed to a significant amount of smoke and was taken to the hospital for breathing treatment. Thankfully, he recovered well from that—but during his stay, doctors discovered something else unexpected. After running some tests, he was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), a type of blood cancer. The diagnosis came as a shock, especially in the middle of everything else. He has already started receiving support and care from specialists, and we’re taking things one step at a time. My dad is staying strong, and we’re doing our best to stay positive and focused on his recovery. We appreciate all your love, prayers, and encouragement.

On June 15th earlier in the evening tragedy struck when my dad’s home was completely destroyed in a fire. He was living alone in the house that meant everything to him—physically, emotionally, and historically. It was built after another family tragedy in the 1970s, when my grandmother lost her husband and rebuilt life the best she could. She passed on the home to my dad after her passing in 2016. Now, that home is gone, this house was the last remaining connection to that legacy. Everything is gone and so is my dad’s last piece of stability.

Sadly, my dad didn’t have homeowners insurance. He’s been living paycheck to paycheck, barely managing the cost of living—like so many others these days. This home was all he had. With no safety net, he’s been left with nothing.

We’re still unsure of the exact cause of the fire, but it may have been due to an ember from a nearby fire earlier in the afternoon. Within a short time, everything he had was gone.

I’m asking for help to raise funds for:

• Temporary housing

• Clothing and basic essentials

• Long-term rebuilding support

• Medical expenses
