On February 3rd, my dad's house—my childhood home—caught on fire due to a chimney accident. Thankfully, my dad is safe and unharmed, and we've managed to locate two of his three cats. We're still searching for the last one and would appreciate any prayers for their safe return. While the firefighters were able to contain much of the damage to the second level, the loss is still overwhelming. This home holds so many memories for our family, and seeing it damaged is heartbreaking.

To make matters worse, my dad's homeowner's insurance had lapsed because the company required a new roof before renewing the policy. The replacement work was being planned, but it hadn't been completed yet, so there will be no insurance funds to help him rebuild. This means my dad is facing the challenge of starting over without the support that insurance would have provided.
