Hi, my name is Shelly Held and I’m fundraising on behalf of my dad, Michael Anding, who recently lost everything in a heartbreaking fire that destroyed his home and all of his belongings. Even more devastating — this was not an accident. The fire was intentionally set. Arson.

In a matter of hours, my dad’s entire life was turned to upside down.

Thankfully, he made it out alive but shirtless and shoeless, he literally lost everything. Clothing, furniture, and the place he called home — is gone. No one ever expects this kind of tragedy, and certainly not one caused by someone else’s cruel actions.

Right now, he’s trying to pick up the pieces. We need to find him a new place to stay and he will need to start over with everything. That’s why we’re turning to the kindness of our community, friends, and compassionate strangers.

Your donation will go directly toward:

• Replacing all the home furnishings lost in the fire.

• Replacing essential items (clothes, toiletries, etc.)

• Rebuilding his life — one small piece at a time
