Help my dad make a full recovery

On Thursday, September 16th, my dad John Thompson suffered a stroke. If you have been in our lives for a while, you know that my dad is my favorite person in the entire world and that this is one of many set backs that he has suffered in the last 7 years.

 

Over the years, my parents have poured not only into mine, Laura and Johnny's life but into all those around them. My dad taught me early on to give to those with a generous heart without expecting anything back in return. I will never forget the Christmas Eve that he went and delivered toys to a family that he worked with.

 

My mom has taken a leave of absence unpaid from her job to help care for my dad until November 1st. My dad is paralyzed on his right side, and with intense physical therapy we hope that it is not permanent. My parents will be faced with medical bills, on top of everyday bills such as rent, electricity, groceries. All of this without receiving any type of income.

 

My parents would give the home they live in to help meet the need of those they love. Please help me give them peace of mind that they will be able to cover medical expenses and help my dad make a full recovery. The last thing he needs is the stress of financial burdens.
