Help my dad (Larry) Fight Cancer

Hello, my name is Brandon, and I never thought I would ever have to do this, but here I am, creating a fundraiser for my dad, Larry Mitchell, to ask for your support as he continues to battle his Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, which has returned.

My dad is a hard-working, family-oriented individual who, without hesitation, is there to provide for his family or a friend in need, including making his house available to them if they have nowhere else to go. Before becoming ill, if not working, you could typically find him cooking fantastic food for a friend, family member, or someone in the community or playing with the grandkids, as he is a big kid heart.

In May of 2022, after visiting his doctor for some chest and stomach pains, a CT scan revealed he might have cancer growing throughout his body, including his lymph nodes. The biopsy confirmed that he had an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Due to his body's condition, he began receiving a very aggressive form of Chemo by the end of May. This treatment consisted of six rounds of Chemo, which concluded in November 2022. Throughout this treatment, we were very optimistic as his body was responding well, and at the end of the treatment, tests indicated that he was cancer free. During a regular post-treatment checkup in early January 2023, we received the crushing news that his cancer had returned. After consulting with the specialists, they informed us that continuing with additional Chemo would not work. My dad's only option is a stem cell transplantation which they want to start by the end of January.

As you can imagine, the journey has been rough for him, and unfortunately, he has not been able to work since beginning his treatments in May 2022. The lack of income has caused him to acquire debt from rendered treatments, and he doesn't have the means to cover the upcoming stem cell transplantation.

With all options exhausted, I have created this fundraiser to help raise money to pay for these medical expenses. Any donation amount will help. If you don't have any money, just spreading it and sharing it will also help.
