Unfortunately, my dad has a condition that will require him to have angioplasty surgery, which is a procedure that opens up impacted arteries. If he does not have this surgery, he will lose both his legs and possibly his life.  Having the procedure will not only allow him to keep his legs, but it will also allow him to get back up and move about. This is a rare condition in people who do not have diabetes and who are not drinkers or smokers. Ideally, he should have the surgery as soon as possible to prevent the loss of his legs. 

He currently lives in Honduras and has to go through private insurance to have surgery.  The cost will be $9,750 per leg.
