Help My dad John Lowdermilk repair or replace his AC Unit

update I have found a company that is willing to replace his unit and repair wiring inside and outside of the house for $3000. That includes the unit and labor. Please help if you can.

Hello my name is Michelle I started this go fund me to hopefully help my dad John Lowdermilk he is 86 year old a veteran and a Buckeye Native. His only income is his Social Security.

He just recently got home from the VA hospital and had to have a feeding tube installed. If that wasn’t enough his 19 year old AC unit has finally died the compressor is shot. We either need a new unit or he’s going to try and find a compressor . The Freon for the older units are 200 per pound and that doesn’t include the compressor or labor. I’m not sure it’s worth fixing.

I had a small window unit we installed and my dad’s neighbor let them borrow a small rolling unit. It was 87 degrees when I left tonight with both units running continuously and 4 or 5 fans running. I have no option but to ask for help.

i have reached out to the VA and habitat for humanity to see if they can help. But have not heard back. I’m not sure the VA can help as he is not service connected so does not get all the benefits.
