Help My Dad Heal—Support His Rehab & Recovery Journey
Donación protegida
Hi, my name is Corey Colwell, and I’m reaching out for support during one of the most difficult but hopeful times in my family's life.
My Dad, Robert "Robbie" Colwell, recently made the brave decision to check himself into rehab to confront and begin healing from his struggle with alcoholism. Just a day or two into treatment, he experienced life-threatening withdrawals and went into Delirium tremens—a serious condition that landed him in the ICU via ambulance. He remained hospitalized for several nights before he was stable enough to return to rehab.
Right now, he is committed to staying in treatment for at least 30 to 90 days—focusing fully on his recovery and building a new life of sobriety. I’m extremely proud of him making this decision to better himself, and I believe he deserves a second, fair fighting chance to live a happy, healthy life. But he’s also facing this challenge with no health insurance, no job, and mounting medical bills from the hospital stay, ambulance ride, and rehab costs.
We're doing everything we can to support him, including helping him apply for Medicaid and financial aid. But we need your help to keep him afloat during this time.
What the funds will help cover:
- Rehab program costs (30–90 days of inpatient care)
- Hospital & ICU bills from the emergency medical stay
- Living expenses (rent, utilities, phone, insurance, groceries) while he's in recovery
- Transportation & reintegration support once he’s discharged
- Filing fees or assistance with Medicaid applications
Your support means the world to me and my family. It will relieve the financial pressure that could otherwise jeopardize his healing process or lead to a devastating relapse. This is our chance to help him come back stronger, sober, and surrounded by love—not debt and/or homelessness.
Even if you can’t donate, just sharing this with others can make a huge difference. My Dad deserves a second, fair fighting chance to live a happy, healthy life. Thank you so much for reading, caring, and supporting my dad’s journey to recovery. God Bless!
Thank you all again for everything. You’re helping make a real difference and a miracle happen for my Dad and family!
With gratitude,
Corey Colwell
