On Monday, my dad was in a serious car accident that required the jaws of life to pull him from his van. He was rushed to the Bloomington ER and then transferred to Indianapolis due to the severity of his injuries.

He suffered over 12 broken ribs, a shattered knee, a broken femur extending up to his hip, and a broken shoulder. He had surgery for his leg and needs another for his shoulder. They will likely have to do shoulder replacement. He will be in the hospital for a while, likely followed by a stay at a rehab facility.

My dad is a hardworking custodian and a proud grandfather.

Due to the extent of his injuries, he won’t be able to work for some time. His health insurance aid doesn’t even cover his rent.

I’m raising funds to help cover:

• Rent and living expenses

• Medical bills not covered by insurance

The goal is to give him the time and support he needs to truly heal without feeling pressure to rush back to work before he’s ready. Any amount helps, and I’m so grateful for your kindness, support, and shares.
