Please Help My Stubborn Dad

My father has always been one of the strongest (and most stubborn) people I’ve known. I can count the amount of times that I have seen him truly ill on one hand. A few years back when he broke his knee he was back up and moving before I knew it, so to say that seeing him suffer through his current condition is heart-breaking. Currently he does not have health insurance, and I wish I could put him on mine, but that’s simply not an option and I’m not sure how else to help at this point.

Essentially the veins in my dad’s leg are collapsing and not allowing blood circulation back up to his core. This is causing painful swelling that keeps him up all night as well as severe ulcerations on his leg that are unable to heal.

Sitting with him in just an hour I watch him get up and move constantly to distract from the pain, his leg causes spasms that move through his whole body, and he is in constant pain. This pain and his inability to sleep are causing him to be unable to work at this time.

The fact that by obstinate, stubborn, and lovable father is willing to even ask for help in this situation speaks volumes.

I’m asking for any help that you are able to give, even if it’s just sharing this post, in order to help him cover the medical payments that he needs and his living expenses while he’s unable to work.
