My dad is 68 years old and has always been a very loving and kind person. Throughout his life, he has gone out of his way to help those most in need, never hesitating to offer support or a helping hand. Now, he is the one who needs help, and it’s difficult to see someone so selfless facing such a critical health crisis.

Recently, my dad’s heart has become extremely weak. Today, he underwent his second catheterization in less than a year. The doctors have told us that there is no choice but to install a pacemaker and perform heart surgery that will separate the upper and lower parts of his heart. The pacemaker will take over the work of the muscle and help his heart function. He suffers from severe arrhythmias, with his heart rate sometimes rising to 140 or 150 beats per minute. During these episodes, his heart isn’t really beating, but rather vibrating, and it stops sending blood to the rest of his body. His life is truly hanging by a thread.
