Road to recovery

Hello, my name is Esmeralda Robles and I am starting a Gofund me account for my father Jose Robles to help pay for the cost of my father's Lung Transplant, medical services he needs to prep him for the transplant and any medical financial bills that arise along the way; copayments for doctor visits , medicines, tests, bloodwork,ets. I am the oldest of his daughter and it just breaks my heart not having the financial resources to help pay for this medical procedure, medicines or simply putting doctor visits on hold for not having the money to cover the cost. He does not have a private insurance; medical only covers so much and he has a share of cost; and what he gets in disability its not enough to cover household expenses. He just stopped working on September 6, 2019. The reason being it was difficult for him to perform his work duties and he has been hospitalized multiple times this year because his body start lacking oxygen. This is why we are asking for your generous help. My father is currently fighting Interstial Lung Disease. He was diagnosed with Interstial Lung Disease about 3 years ago, but the illness started about 9 years ago when he caught neumonia. He kept going to the doctors, they would run multiple tests but wouldn't really give him an exact diagnoses to what was wrong with him until 3 years ago. At the time they told him he only had a year to live, but Thank God he has been around 3 years and counting for more. In this year my father's health has took a drastic turn, he has to be on an oxygen machine (oxygen tanks) 24/7 which a year ago it was only at bedtime or as needed. Lacking oxygen makes it hard for him to walk or even get around without having to stop multiple times or simply rely on a wheelchair to move around and get to his destination. Interstial Lung Disease is the big umbrella for numerous disorders affecting the lungs and the cause of why people are diagnosed with this disease in unknown. Once you have Interstial Lung Disease its irreversibel. It causes shortness of breath and lacks oxygen to travel to the bloodstream; as well as a constant dry cough. My father needs a Lung Transplant of both lungs. The Transplant cost is about half a million not counting the logding expenses which is another $16,000 from what we been told. We live in Fresno CA, and will be commuting to San Francisco, CA where the transplant will take place; we should be there for about 6 to 8 weeks recovering if everything goes well with God's will. He is in continous need of oxygen tanks to help If anyone can kindly help with the process of this Transplant. The transplant is my father's only hope to continue being around for years to come. I know he is nervous and scared of the transplant process and what is to come, specially when financially we lack the funds but we wont know if we don't take the risk. Any dollar or penny that anyone can spare will be greatly appreciate it. That is why I decided to start this GoFund Me account to help my Father financially and not put his health on hold, he is young and has a long ways to go.
