Help My Dad Get His Food Truck – He’s Given Everything for Us. Now It’s Our Turn To Give Back.

My dad has always been the kind of man who puts everyone else first.

In 2021 he had a heart attack. In 2023 he lost the love of his life – my mum. In 2025 he was made redundant. Then the costs became too much and he had to sell the family home and downsize. One blow after another.

Through all of it, he never stopped supporting me. When I was in financial trouble, he used the very last of his savings to bail me out. No hesitation. No questions. Just quiet, steady love.

Now he’s trying to rebuild. Unable to find another job, he turned to the one thing that’s always brought him joy: cooking. He’s started a small food business, cooking everything himself with real care and proper love. He’s a one-man band right now – setting up a heavy marquee for every market stall, packing it all down again at the end of the day, carrying everything on his own. I watch him struggle with it and I can see the toll it’s taking on his body. After everything he’s already been through, it breaks my heart.

I’m raising money to help him buy a food truck.

A proper food truck would mean he doesn’t have to keep wrestling with that marquee. It would give him a real base for his business – somewhere he can cook safely, serve more people, and grow something sustainable. Something that’s his. Something built with the same quiet determination he’s shown his whole life.

This isn’t just about a vehicle. It’s about giving my dad the chance to stand on his own two feet again after years of loss and hardship. It’s about showing him that the man who’s always given everything for his family can finally receive a little something back. And it’s about letting more people taste the food he makes with so much heart.

I’m not aiming for the moon. Even if we only raise £10, it will mean the world – because it will be something I can give to the man who has given me everything.

If you’ve ever known someone who keeps going no matter what life throws at them… if you’ve ever wanted to help a good person get a fair shot… please consider supporting my dad.

Thank you for reading his story. And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for any help you can give.
