Help My Dad Fight Lung Cancer with Comfort and Dignity
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
It’s with a heavy heart that I share some incredibly difficult news — my beloved father has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. This diagnosis has brought a wave of pain, uncertainty, and emotional weight to our family.
My dad isn’t just a wonderful father and a devoted husband of 37 years — he’s the heart of our home and the reason me and my sister have the lives we do today. Years ago, he came to this country with nothing but hope, determined to give us the future he never had. Through hard work and sacrifice, he built a life rooted in love, resilience, and selflessness.
After losing our mom to COVID in 2020, our world changed forever. Despite his own grief, my dad poured everything he had into caring for my sister and me. He showed up for us every day — and now it’s our turn to show up for him.
We’re doing all we can to make sure he receives the comfort, care, and dignity he deserves. But cancer care comes with a heavy financial burden, and that’s why I’m reaching out. As he faces this next chapter, our goal is to make sure he’s surrounded by comfort, dignity, and love.

Our $35,000 goal will help cover:
• Medical expenses related to hospice and palliative care
• Comfort medications and equipment not fully covered by insurance
• Home medical supplies (wheelchair, hospital bed, oxygen, etc.)
• Transportation and caregiver-related costs
• Nutritional needs and wellness support
• Lost income due to time taken off work to care for him
⸻
If you’re able to donate — even a few dollars — it would mean the world to us. Every contribution will go directly toward helping my father feel safe, supported, and surrounded by love in his remaining time.
If you can’t give right now, we completely understand — your prayers, kind messages, and sharing this page are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for being here for us. Your love and compassion are giving us strength through one of the hardest moments of our lives.
With love and deep gratitude,
Melanie
