Help My Dad during his Dental Emergency

Donation protected
My father was unfortunately homeless from 2012 to 2015 which caused a bunch of ramifications down the road for him...his teeth being one of them. He has never once tried drugs or anything close...just never was able to go in for routine cleanings of his teeth due to a lack of financial resources.
In 2020 during the first months of the Covid outbreak, he began suffering from dental problems consisting of his wisdom teeth being impacted and the slow deterioration of one of his front teeth. He went to a dentist back then and was all signed up for a root canal and wisdom tooth extraction but due to not having any help with a ride, they wouldn’t let him do it. The dentists wanted him sedated due to existing physical disabilities and would not let him take the bus or an Uber/Lyft home after NOR would let him wait out the drugs in the office due to Covid regulations.
Then my Dad ended up in the hospital with two herniated discs in his back. A hospital trip that left him in Newton Wellesley Hospital for six full days and on a walker for a majority of a year as he had immense difficulty walking more than five feet without the walker at a time (but he did try...usually breaking down in tears when walking to the store with me and my brother). He always tried to push his limits and try to get better, but this has been a pain that will impact him for the rest of his life.
He never lost sight of his dental problem and always planned on getting the root canal complete but was waiting for his finances to stabilize. There were days when we couldn’t communicate over the phone due to the pain in his mouth.
Then two weeks ago that tooth fell out. He wasn’t eating any food. He didn’t get punched in the face. It just fell out.
He was lucky enough to secure a dental appointment the following day where the plan was to remove the wisdom teeth and extract the root of the tooth that was bad. He would be given a partial. But the dentists found out that the teeth next to that front one needed to be pulled as well. And they did. Removing his four front teeth.
The problem is that my Dad was born with a form of cerebral palsy which includes low muscle tone, nerve sensory integration issues, and oral motor dyspraxia, among other things...and he can not use the partial that was given to him. He has been trying every hour upon the hour since the procedure last week but results in him viciously vomiting. He has tried numbing ointment, meditation, deep breathing, and other stuff to be able to use the part to no avail. Nothing has been an aiding remedy.
The dentists even tried modifying the partial multiple times. My Dad has even thrown up on a few of the dental workers when trying to modify the partials so they don’t cause him any more issues.
He is going in for implants next week if he can get some more finances. It was his last resort as he thought it would solely take time to adjust to the partial as it would everyone else, but his disability makes it impossible for him, a fact even the dentist and surgeon agreed upon.
This might be immature to try to get help for him but he needs it. I’m not trying to get him to help for the full amount just enough to get the process started for him. He had my brother this weekend and they could barely even speak due to communication being difficult for my Dad. My brother witnessed the agonizing pain he experienced with constantly trying and retrying the partials. It did not work.
I know how my Dad thinks, he is taking the blame for this. He feels responsible for this and wouldn’t ask for any help. But he didn’t ask to be homeless. It wasn’t due to drugs or problems with the law or being immature and now he has to deal with this possibility for the rest of his life. He doesn’t deserve it.
As I said, any bit helps. I want to help my father have a shot at a better life. This procedure is an extensive process that needs to be completed or he will be unfortunately left in Physical and Mental agony for the rest of his life. Please If you can not donate, at least share. He deserves the best, and he’s only received the grunt of it all. Thank you for taking the time to read and please share with friends or family to have this situation one step closer to being justified.
