Hi, my name is Daniel, and the man in the photos is my dad, Dionisio.

Recently, my dad suffered a serious accident where he hit his head, causing fractures and internal bleeding. He lost consciousness and mobility in parts of his body, and we were told he needed emergency neurosurgery.

Although my dad has insurance in Mexico, the waiting time for surgery in the public system was too long and represented a serious risk to his life and recovery. Because of this, my mom made the difficult decision to move him to private care so he could receive immediate treatment, a choice that has greatly increased the hospital costs.

Between the surgery and ongoing treatment, the expenses are now over 40,000 CAD. This is far beyond what my family can manage on our own, so we are reaching out for help.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a real difference in helping my dad receive the care he needs to recover and hopefully regain his mobility and quality of life.

Hola, mi nombre es Daniel y la persona que ven en las fotos es mi papá, Dionisio.

Hace poco mi papá sufrió un accidente muy grave en el que se golpeó fuertemente la cabeza, lo que le causó fracturas e inflamación interna. Perdió el conocimiento y parte de la movilidad de su cuerpo, y los médicos nos dijeron que necesitaba una neurocirugía de emergencia.

Aunque mi papá tiene seguro en México, el tiempo de espera en el sistema público para poder operarlo era demasiado largo y representaba un riesgo muy grande para su vida y su recuperación. Por eso, mi mamá tomó la difícil decisión de llevarlo a un hospital particular para que pudiera recibir la atención inmediata que necesitaba, lo que ha incrementado muchísimo los gastos.

Entre la cirugía y el tratamiento, los costos ya superan los 40,000 CAD, una cantidad que mi familia no puede cubrir sola. Por eso hoy les pido ayuda, con mucha humildad, para poder seguir con el tratamiento de mi papá y darle la mejor oportunidad de recuperar su salud y su movilidad.

Cualquier aporte, por pequeño que parezca, hace una gran diferencia.
