On July 11th during a visit for an unrelated pain, doctor's discovered a tumor on my Dad's lung. It's still difficult to say; My Dad has cancer. Aggressive lung cancer that spread to his liver. If this cancer had gone undiscovered, we could have lost him within months. We are incredibly grateful they found it and are taking action right away.
Yesterday he completed his first round of chemo. He has 3 more to go until they check his progress.
I apologize if you are finding out this way. As you might imagine, it has been difficult to keep up with the questions and updates. But I also wanted to thank those of you who have already reached out with prayers and well wishes. I know Dad's phone has been blowing up, and it is extremely moving to see how many people love him.
As many of you may know, our family lost their business a few years ago. My parents have not had health insurance since then. Dad was put on emergency Medicaid so they won't have to pay completely out of pocket.
Right now my Dad's biggest concern is how they are going to afford the chemo and other medical procedures. OUR biggest concern is keeping him here for as LONG as possible. He turns 61 next month.
We are asking for your help. ANY amount would make a difference. If you can't donate money, please consider sharing this page. Dad needs to focus more on fighting this disease and less on being able to afford it.
Thank you so much for reading this and considering to help my family.
