Help My Dad Beat Cancer & Relieve Medical Debt

Hi everyone,

I’m starting this fundraiser for my dad, who has been fighting the toughest battle of his life. He retired during COVID and began collecting Social Security, looking forward to finally slowing down. But shortly after, everything changed.

It started with a hospital stay for severe kidney stones. While recovering, he was unexpectedly diagnosed with lymphoma. After three months of infusions, he was able to beat it—but then doctors discovered a large cancerous mass in his esophagus.

For the past six months, my dad hasn’t been able to eat solid food. He’s been powering through weekly chemotherapy and daily radiation treatments, hoping to shrink the tumor enough for surgery. We’re waiting for results in the next few weeks to see if surgery is possible and if he can finally be cancer-free.

Through it all, my dad has stayed in good spirits, which has been such a source of strength for our family. But the financial strain has been overwhelming. Even with Medicaid covering much of the treatment, the medical bills continue to pile up, leaving him in debt at a time when he should be focused on healing.

I’m asking for your help to reach our $25,000 goal to ease this burden for him. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference and brings us one step closer to lifting this weight off his shoulders.

I can’t wait for the day I get to take him out for his favorite steak dinner once he can finally enjoy solid food again. Until then, I’m doing everything I can—even from across the country—to support him in this fight.
