Help My Dad Be Able To Have A Funeral
Donation protected
On Valentine’s Day, at about 3pm, I lost my best friend. My dad, Jay Shapiro, passed away after a week with COVID - he was only at the hospital for one day before he was intubated, and the last thing he told me was: “I’ll call you back.” He never did.
I miss him more than anything, and it feels like my heart left with him.
It would break me to have him cremated - I know he would want a Jewish burial, and a funeral. That, however - is over $17,000. I’m a college student, and I don’t have the money to bury my father - and I can’t let him be cremated.
So, please - anything, ANYTHING, you can give at all, I would be so grateful. I don’t know how much my family will even be able to contribute to the service, and any help I can get would be amazing.
I can’t do this by myself, and it feels like the world is sitting on my back. Please help my father rest in peace.
