Help my dad and his wife after house fire
Donation protected
I am raising funds to help my dad and his wife who are currently out of their home for the foreseeable future due to an electrical issue that caused their home to go up in smoke. If anyone knows my dad "THE KING" you know he goes above and beyond for everyone and is ALWAYS saving the day one way or another. He is my best friend and now they are in need of help! No amount is to small, if you can't donate please share. If you would like to donate another way please message me. Thank you
On Sunday morning, Feb 18th at 2:00 am, the Gilmanton Fire Department along with the Alton Fire Department's ladder, were dispatched to a reported chimney fire at 657 Stage Road.
Arriving units reported smoke coming from the building and requested additional departments to the scene. While the homeowner directed staff to where he believed the fire had originated, crews determined that the fire was not contained to the chimney and that it had spread to the building itself and crews went to work to find the origin and location of the fire which was determined to be under the ell of the home in a crawl space with no access. A heavy smoke condition throughout the building was a cause of great concern and additional departments were dispatched to the scene. Companies were forced to create access points for extinguishment from both the inside and outside of the building and due to the nature of the work and the cold temperatures, a 2nd alarm for manpower was requested to the scene.
At approximately 8:00 am the fire was deemed under control.
The family was alerted by smoke detectors and they were able to leave their residence safely with their pet. Smoke detectors save lives.
We wish to thank to following towns for their assistance
