Help My Dad, Alfredo Sierra, on His Road to Recovery

On March 9, my dad, Alfredo Sierra, suffered from a stroke caused by a brain aneurysm. He spent four weeks in the hospital getting life-saving care. Thanks to quick action and incredible medical care and rehab, he is slowly starting the long journey of recovery. We’re hopeful—every day he’s making progress, and we’re believing in the full return of his strength and memory.

If you ever met him, you’d remember his cheerful spirit, endless curiosity, and love of a good laugh. He was always ready to dive into Lake Michigan or enjoy a late-night sweet.

While he focuses on healing, my family is doing our best to manage the growing expenses. He’s unable to work, and the medical bills are already starting to arrive. We could use some help covering those costs and supporting him through this next chapter.

El 9 de marzo, mi padre, Alfredo Sierra, tuvo un aneurisma cerebral. Pasó cuatro semanas en el hospital recibiendo atención médica. Gracias a la acción rápida del hospital, él está en rehabilitación, comenzando su proceso largo de recuperación. Tenemos esperanza—cada día él está progresando, y estamos creyendo en el pleno regreso de su fuerza y memoria.

Si alguna vez lo conociste, recordarías su espíritu alegre, su curiosidad inagotable y su amor por las risas. Siempre estaba listo para nadar en el lago Michigan o disfrutar de un dulce antes de ir a dormir.

Mientras él se concentra en su recuperación, nuestra familia hace todo lo posible para cubrir sus gastos. No puede trabajar y las cuentas médicas ya están empezando a llegar. Necesitamos ayuda para cubrir esos gastos y apoyarlo en esta nueva etapa.
