HELP!! My Crazy DV Ex Broke My Work Equipment!!!
My name is Heidi. I'm a survivor of narcissistic abuse and domestic violence.
I thought I could remain "friends" with my abuser. I was wrong.
I mistakenly trusted him enough to store my office equipment in his home for several weeks as I attempted to find another place to store it. I should have known better. Once my ex realized that I no longer wanted anything to do with him, not even friendship, he smashed all my expensive equipment and dumped it in the street in front of my home.
Unfortunately, I charged these higher ticket items and am still paying on them with no warranty. As you can see, they are damaged beyond repair. There are many other items I will not receive back, but I'm still paying on these electronics. I cannot replace them. and I cannot use them. He meant to hurt me and my online business with this action and has succeeded.
I know that these items are just "things." I am grateful to be safe, alive and unharmed.
I have had a history of domestic violence with him and our previous protective order had recently expired, so I wasn't protected. I have another temporary order and will be facing him in court this month. I have pressed charges, but he is broke, has never held a job and I know I'll receive nothing from him.
I'm deeply saddened by the loss of my office equipment as many know, I stream online and provide all of my spiritual services in that way.
This has stunted my professional options greatly and shoved me way down in a hole.
I'm trying to mend the inner wounds associated with this kind of abuse. I still live in the same tiny town, and I'm trying not to live in fear. I don't have another ounce left to worry about all of the financials associated with this loss too.
