As many of you may know, my aunt had been battling illness for quite some time. Recently, she made the courageous decision to enter hospice care, and sadly, she passed away this past Saturday. Her passing has left a deep void in our family, and her children are now facing an overwhelming transition.

Her daughter—my cousin—is now stepping into full-time care for both her younger brother and her nephew, who were under my aunt's care. This sudden shift has brought not only emotional challenges but also significant financial strain.

Over the past few months, my cousins have missed a lot of work while caring for their mother. Now with two children to support, they are navigating a new reality that includes:

Immediate childcare and school-related expenses

Lost income from missed work

Household adjustments to accommodate the children's needs.
