Help my cousin’s family survive the war in Gaza

my name is Majd and I have created this campaign on behalf of my cousin Haytham Elaila and his family which lives in Gaza to help him supporting them after his father (my uncle) was killed few months ago by an Israeli assault!
“Hello everyone,
My name is Haytham Elaila and I am from Gaza strip.
I’m starting this fundraising to help my family to flee from Gaza after the destructive assault during the Israel-Gaza war on our home. To be honest, I find myself reaching to you in a situation I never imagined I would face, we are a family consisting of 11 members from Gaza strip. At the beginning of this war, our family’s house was partially destroyed by an Israeli airstrikes on 16 Nov. 2023. Followed that a lot of displacement and suffering as the story begins:”
OUR STORY:
It’s painful to say we lost everything. But yes, we did! We lost our beautiful home with a lot of memories, we lost my dear father during the assault, we lost our life and dreams as a family; also I lost my own business, as where I started it from home as a freelancer for making portraits designs on woods and drawing happiness on people faces!!
Every day in the North of Gaza the situation gets riskier and dangerous, we were in Jabalia as “where is our home“ and in this day Israel directly targeted us by airstrike and unfortunately my father was killed from the strike and my brother injured in his head, arm and chest from the shell fragments.
As a result we ran to Gaza town specifically in Rymal area (at a school) to have it as a shelter after what happened. We were subjected to many difficulties in the school, such as finding water, food, and clothes. Every time we wanted to bring food and water we had to walk long distances to find something; rarely we could, as no humanitarian aids went to the north, the food became very expensive and rare. All around us was people facing hunger and challenges of finding one meal for the whole day!
There is no safe place in Gaza! The school, our new shelter, got targeted with tank shells!
We barely survived the attack, then we decided to return to the North and checked our home, and it was targeted again by missile from a fighter jet that destroyed our home to a great extent. We became homeless then we were displaced again to our relative house for a short time. And nowadays we are in a shelter center waiting our chances to leave Gaza!
We went through a lot, subjected to the worst, starting from displacement several times, hunger and starvation which is still our situation so far, and the destruction of our house and my tools for my business which stored in the house. In fact, we evacuated our home with only a small bag of clothes before it got bombed a few days later. We had to leave our home, we had to leave the school, we left our neighborhood and now staying in a shelter center! Trying to survive through all this, with minimum food supplies, and one meal a day, filling water every day for our needs and carry it long distances!
HOW WILL WE USE THE MONEY?!
Your donations will give our family motivation for a new beginning after this war hopefully ends.
The funds raised will help us as a start to rebuild our lives. The money will be used to cover essential needs of 11 members -about 35000€-, including securing a safe place, and basic supplies. Part of the money will be used providing my family with a temporary accommodation in Egypt for at least 6 months -about 25000€-, and assisting us with initial living expenses during the stay in Egypt - 2000€ a month-, with the intention of sustaining them for at least a few months to get back on our feet. This is very essential for them to recover from the trauma of the Gaza war and rehabilitation.
