Lets get Nannies experiencing and enjoying life!

My name is Victoria and I created this GFM to ask for all of your help so we can bless my aunt, uncle, and mostly my cousin, Nannies, (who has cerebral palsy, is developmentally delayed, has seizures and scoliosis) with the gift of a Special Needs, “Josi” stroller! The Josi stroller is an adaptable special needs stroller that is made specifically for people just like my cousin, who have limited mobility.

I recently went to visit my family in San Diego and my eyes were opened to how restricted my aunt and Nannies are by staying inside the house everyday, all day. Nannie’s daily life consists of playing with her toys in the living room while watching and listening to children’s programs on tv, in between feedings, diaper changes and baths. Imagine if my aunt and uncle could take Nannies on a stroll at the beach to experience the sounds of the waves and enjoy the sun and fresh air!
Because the “Josi” stroller is specifically made for special needs individuals, the base price alone is expensive. I am hoping for more than the base price so the other necessities can be purchased at additional costs, such as the extended length, a canopy for sunny, cold or rainy days, swivel wheels for the front and back, beach and trail wheels, head rests, seat cushions, the car attachment, etc.
A regular wheel chair only works for very small amounts of time because my cousin has to have her legs strapped in with the ability to extend her legs so she doesn’t faint. Not only does the Josi stroller allow her to have her legs extended, it also has the option to recline her head back, therefore taking stress off her spine, making her more comfortable, given her scoliosis.
Having this stroller would give Nannies opportunities that most of us take for granted, like going outside for a walk or a stroll at the park or beach. A Josi stroller would make life for my family more healthy, enjoyable and happy. Thank you all in advance for any help you can give. This will be a life changer!
