Help my cousin, Jane, who helps so many❤️

I am starting this Go Fund Me for my cousin Janey Macomber. Jane has been having health issues for the last three months. Her entire muscular system seized up, and she has had inflammation issues as well. She soon discovered that just taking a few extra days off a week wasn’t enough, and she has not been able to work for the last ten weeks. She has been working with her health care providers and is on the mend, but it is a slow process. She will not be able to go back to work for two to three months. During this time she needs financial assistance for all of her everyday bills and expenses, including heat, rent, car, utilities, food, and medical expenses not covered by insurance. While she has had financial resources herself and help from family, she is now in need. Her son is helping take care of her during this difficult time.
Anyone who knows Jane, knows what a bright light she is, and that she is often the first to help others in need. Whether it is helping homeless teenagers in Portland, staying in the hospital with her sick mother who was scared to be there without family , or picking up her young cousins from school at the last minute, Jane is always willing to help others in need. Not only is she willing to help others, but it truly brings her joy being able to give and being of service to others.
When I was two years old and my father worked away from home during the week, Jane moved in with us and babysat me and my brother so my Mom could work. I declared then at two years old, that she was “ My Janey”! Jane has always been present in my life, and some of my best childhood memories are of being with her. She adores children, and when she moved to Portland in 2010 and was spending lots of time with my young nephew, I was thrilled for him because I knew first hand how much love he was receiving and how much fun he was having. Over the last thirteen years that she has lived close by, I have been reminded of why I love her so much, and my husband, Paul, has come to feel the same way!
For the first several years that Jane lived in Portland, we sometimes needed a dog sitter, and it was always Jane we called upon. My husbands dog had some health issues the last few years he was alive, and Paul didn’t trust anyone but Jane to stay with his beloved Baloo. He once told her that if it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t be able to go on vacation. When my own dog, Vega, collapsed, Jane was the first person after Paul that I called. She came to the emergency vet as soon as she could, and because Vega was such a big dog, and was in a big crate, she climbed right in beside him and laid with him.
Although Jane just turned 60 on New Year’s Day, she normally has the energy of someone half her age, and has never had any serious health issue.. This aspect of the situation has been hard on Jane, as she is used to being on the move and energetic in whatever she does. However, this is not going to stop her, and she is more determined than ever to be healthier than she has ever been. It’s just going to take some time.
A great big thank you to anyone who cares to donate and help this amazing woman! No donation is too small! My goal is to raise $12,000 for My Janey!
