This is a photo of my sister and my cousin Oleh, taken a few years back when I visited Ukraine. At 25, he was drafted to defend Ukraine on the front lines.
Two weeks ago, he was severely injured by a russian drone strike. He lost a leg, while his other leg and arm are badly torn, along with deep wounds to his torso. His recovery requires countless surgeries, years of rehabilitation, and eventually a prosthetic so he can learn to walk again — care that will cost tens of thousands of dollars.
I am raising funds to help cover these expenses and give Oleh the best chance at healing and regaining independence. Oleh has already given so much—his health, his safety, and the life he once knew—to protect others. Every donation is a way of honoring Oleh's sacrifice. I would be deeply grateful for your support of my family during this difficult time.
Additionally, if anyone knows of the U.S. organizations that assist with prosthetics for Ukrainians injured during the war, I would appreciate any info.
