Help my cousin Jackie with expenses

This is my first time creating a Go Fund Me. It is for my cousin, Jackie Phillips. Jackie’s husband died in June 2020. For the last 8 years of his life, he needed 24x7 care. He had kidney cancer and throat cancer and later the cancer metastasized to his lungs and bones. He also had COPD and blood clots in his leg. His throat cancer caused him to aspirate at times when he was eating or drinking. He coded 4 times with pulmonary failure in which 911 was called. He was a very ill man the last 8 years of his life. On three different occasions, when he was in the hospital, the doctor brought her into a room and told her that her husband was dying. But, after the third talk with the doctor, her husband lived another 3 years.

Jackie took care of her husband every day and night for those 8 years. He was a big man, but she would lift him every day. She helped her husband with everything: bathing, getting dressed, giving him his medication, making the meals he liked, going to countless doctor appointments with him and many other tasks. Jackie was not able to work outside the home during these 8 years as her full-time job was taking care of her husband.

Jackie’s mom and my mom were sisters. When Jackie’s mom died years ago of cancer, Jackie was by her side all the time taking care of her mom. Jackie is truly an angel on earth, full of love and kindness.

With all the medical bills for her husband over the past several years and now with other extenuating unfortunate health circumstances, it is causing a lot of stress for her. Jackie had planned to go back to work after her husband died, but these extenuating circumstances prevented it from happening.

Jackie would sincerely appreciate any help you can give her whether it’s monetary or prayers. She is always looking for the bright side and putting her trust in God. Thank you for praying for and helping my dear cousin, Jackie.
