Help My Cousin & Her Boys Recover After Vicious Dog Attack
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kaylanie, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my cousin and her two boys — Hector and Jr — who are going through something no child, and no family, should ever have to experience.
Just days ago, while their mom was at work, Hector and Jr were outside playing when they were viciously attacked by three dogs. It was sudden, violent, and terrifying. Thank god two bystanders showed up in time. By the time help arrived, both boys had been badly mauled. Hector alone suffered 76 wounds. He was rushed into an 8-hour emergency surgery to save his life.
I still can’t believe we’re living this nightmare.
Hector is a bright, joyful, energetic little boy — the kind of child who lights up every room he walks into. But this attack has deeply affected him, physically and emotionally. He’s now fighting every single day just to heal. His body is covered in bandages, his spirit shaken. His three sisters are devastated. They cry for their brother. They just want him home, safe and smiling again.
Right now, his mom isn’t able to go back to work — she’s fully dedicated to Hector’s care, attending to every medical need, every therapy session, and every moment of pain and fear he experiences. No mother should ever have to see her child go through this.
We are praying daily, crying often, and holding onto hope — but we need help.
We’re raising $10,000 to cover:
• Legal fees to pursue justice against the owners of the dogs and the park responsible for allowing this to happen.
• Medical bills related to Hector’s surgery and continued care.
• Rent and household expenses while his mom is out of work to be by his side.
• Therapy and recovery support for Hector, Jr, and their sisters, who are all affected by this trauma.
These 3 dogs left two boys for dead. This should have never happened, and we are fighting not only for healing, but for accountability.
If you can give anything at all, please know that it means the world to this family. And if you can’t donate right now, please share. Every prayer, every message, every act of kindness helps more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Hector, Jr, and our family through the most painful and uncertain time of our lives.
